This was one of the images the client chose for their luxury dog accessory brand. We wanted to showcase the beautifully handcrafted dog collar with the stylishly matching bracelets for the doggie owner in a lighthearted and fun way whilst still maintaining that high end and clean look. Testing and knowing your lighting set up gives you exactly the look you are after allows for more time on the shoot day itself, which is particularly important when you have animals involved on set. How you portray images of employees no matter the format (digitally or in print) should always align with your brand. The corporate portraits companies use should reflect the same high qualities your brand does and help sell the overall impression and value that the business provides. In this particular shot the client wasn’t afraid of departing from the ‘usual’ headshot set up and trying out more adventurous lighting and posing usually more common in portrait photography. This personal branding session was an absolute joy This personal branding session was an absolute joy. It is always a privilege and I never take it for granted when a client puts their trust in me as a photographer. We wanted to create images that are a true reflection of who my client is as a person and in her professional capacity. Consistency in the imagery whether it is for website use, social media or in print is key, as well as creating content that tells a narrative and is most importantly authentic. To win the open category amongst such a talented group of photographers from such a prestigious organisation and a strong set of images was the icing on the cake.
